November 2008 - Sugar Hill Fire & Rescue received an Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) AFG is program of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Grants are awarded to fire departments to enhance their ability to protect the public and fire service personnel from fire and related hazards. The $ 46,025.00 grant enables the department to purchase new protective clothing/gear for all Sugar Hill Fire fighters.
